Two Fridays ago (22 Jul), I got to meet Lei Bautista[1], Red Hat’s new Country Sales Manager for the Philippines. Our discussion primarily revolved around Fedora Philippines[2], Red Hat and her new role as CSM. Some takeaways from the meeting:
* there is interest from Red Hat’s corporate clients for a community
* it might be a good opportunity for Fedora Philippines to tap that interest
* Red Hat would be having a more active presence in the Philippines from now on
* she’s willing to bring media/swag from RHT SG 😀
While no concrete plans were laid out that night, it’s exciting to note that we now have someone directly from Red Hat who’s local. Sorry Mel[2], you’re MA-based 😉
